Rated 5 out of 5 by Sofi from OMG!! Such an amazing grill At the beginning I thought this would be another of my unnecessary purchases, but how wrong I was!!! It’s awesome. There’s a beep sound each time the state changes, so you don’t need to be right beside it. It cooks perfectly every portion (no matter if is thick or thin, although I try not to mix them in the same batch as I want both sides of the grill to touch each piece). And what left me shocked is how long it takes!! It takes longer to make a fried egg in a pan, than to cook 1.5 cms thick chicken breast. A complete meal in less than 10 mins. It’s a life saver!! And really easy to clean as you can unmount the grill side :)

I cook steaks the old way and it takes some skill getting your steaks just right the way everyone enjoys them . However with the Optigrill + all our steaks were cooked to perfection. Melt in your miuth with that lush velvety texture.Tefal cooks it all for you ,so you don't have to. You can can even cook cheese toasties on manual mode or just press the button for sausages and under 5mins you have great tasting toasties. I look forward to cooking more with Tefal. Products that won't let you down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sepd from Very Disappointed with This Product I’m really disappointed with my purchase of the OptiGrill. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations at all. The meat sticks to the plates every time I use it, and even the dishwasher can’t remove the burnt residues properly. What’s worse is that the plastic on the back of the grill melted due to the heat, which is quite concerning. For the price, I expected much better quality. Honestly, you can get a much simpler and more effective grill for a fraction of the cost. I don’t think this product is worth the investment.

Build quality is notably higher and the capability of the machine is superb. We have used for toasted sandwiches, bacon, burgers and steaks so far and they have been first class. Removable grills are useful too. It was a lot more expensive but I think it was worth it.

Throw anything you want at it and it does a great job. Frozen beef steak but you want it rare, no problem. Frozen burgers, chops, veg, it cooks it all to perfection and better still, the grill plates and drip tray go in the dishwasher! ** Recommend you purchase a second set of those so that you can use it again for another meal incase your dishwasher hasn't yet cleaned the first set! ** I was hesitant at first as I thought it might be an expensive "gadget" that collected dust but I love the healthy way it cooks and I don't have to watch it, just listen for the beeps!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Colz from Takes some getting used too. Steak can look a little anemic (between the dark stripes) compared to a frying pan. Also you have to make sure the unit is empty before resetting the buttons for another batch. Keeps meat a tad more juicy but you have to get used to its interpretation of rare to well done. All in all, it’s a useful tool to use for all kinds of food and saves the turning of food in a frying pan, nicely seal’s raps to avoid the filling from falling out. Easy to remove the plates for washing, no oil needed however, bacon or tops of bagels, etc, can stick to the top plate when you want to have a quick look at how it’s doing. It still smokes similar to a pan so I place it on the hob under the extractor fan. Needs a large cupboard to store it.

Would have liked some time guidelines within the instruction manual - rather than trial/error and writing my own guidelines in a notepad.
