Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Singularly Useless Product In My view The idea in principle of a cordless iron appealed to me but in practice it is hopeless. The small amount of time before needing to put the iron on its charger means that ironing is a very slow process indeed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The iron has to go back to his “house” I like the way it freely moves without any restriction. However it was a bit different from what I used to use which was not a codeless Iron. So I need to remind my self that iron goes back into his “house” every time I use it. Overall, I liked the lightness, free moves, how quickly it gets the right temperature I want. I am sure once I used to use it, it will be much less effort to do my ironing chore. It was great experience and my thoughts for tefal brand gained a lot!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this iron Absolutely fantastic iron I really would definitely recommend this it’s really worth its price tag I only borrowed it from my mother she’s the one who actually owns this iron but I did lend this. from her and like I said I absolutely love this and couldn’t recommend this iron enough so guys what are you waiting for there’s no time like the present I loved it so I’m sure you guys all will.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from dangerous i have had this iron so me time i however don't do the ironing, as my husband likes to do it, so i was unaware of this dangerous fault in my opinion, the trigger that opens the water container springs open at the lightest touch you cannot avoid it as it is central on the handle and you get water all over the clothes or likely to be scalded as it is hot water after being in the iron.

I was amazed by the cordless capabilities of the Tefal Freemove Air, which justifies its name - Freemove! I could freely move the iron, which was a blessing in disguise. The iron itself is very nice, and irons out the wrinkles pretty easily. I am totally in love with my new Tefal Freemove Air. 5 stars from me! *****

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenience through compromise As someone who has to iron his clothes for work everyday, I like to think I have tried and tested a whole range of irons and steamers but they all had one thing in common, they are all corded. When I received the Tefal Freemove Air I was sceptical as to how effective a cordless iron would be. I was pleasantly surprised; it heated up quickly and pressed my uniform really well. The steam function is good and the water reservoir holds a decent amount, enough for my uniform and more. Obviously there is a compromise when going cordless and the time you have to use the iron before you have to replace the iron on the base requires more passes and less time on the garment each pass. However I can live with this if it means no wires getting stuck or tangled on the board. Overall a pretty decent product that doesn’t lose too much in the way of power and convenience through the compromise of being cordless.

The iron is well contoured to the hand. very cool transparent water tank housing, you can easily see the water level. Useful the light when the iron is heated to the right temperature and if it is well positioned in the station. The sound is neutral, not too noise so I can iron the laundry at night when the children are asleep.

But the only problem was charging time. May be because I have not used cordless iron before so I found it bit annoying. I am sure I will get used to it. Overall experience was great and loved the product. Great design and so easy to use.

I loved the fact of how light it was and how versatile to use, the fact that it was cordless was so much more convenient and easier to use, heated up really quickly and each setting worked fantastic on each different garment, even got the husband using it lol, recommended it to both friends and family to buy if they were going to purchase a new iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good All round Easy To Use Iron I found that this iron was so easy to use, I loved the fact it was cordless and it was light and easy to manoeuvre , my last iron was so heavy and it felt restrictive because of its weight. I like the way it feels on your hand its very easy to fill and it heats up very quickly, all these are of huge benefit to me as I found I used it more because of its ease of use. The selection of heat settings makes it easy to choose and I found I flew through the family ironing very quickly and easily as its less clunky than my usual iron and much easier to use. An everyday iron that is easy to use, easy to store away and I tried it on my ironing board and on my table top - both worked really well. My only criticism is it does beep when you don't return it to its cradle and can continue to do so. Its a reminder to return it to its base for charging and is a bit annoying as you are ironing. Other than that I really loved the performance of this nifty iron.

Loved not being tied down by a cord, but it did mean having to put iron back on the base quite frequently. But iron was efficient, effective, and great as a handheld steamer for lighter products. Iron sat on base well.

As well as the iron itself being light-weight, the charging base has a shallow angle, wide-ended slots for the contacts and a neat addition of little wheels that allow the iron to pretty much self locate. All of this makes this iron extremely easy to use for my 81 year-old Mom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight and versatile The freemove teal air is great if you want a light weight iron; from this aspect it does exactly what it says on the tin. The fact it is cordless is a real bonus, however, there is a red light that flashes when the iron needs to be put back on to the base and it seems to flash quite quickly which meant I was continually putting the iron back on to the base which increased the time it took me to iron. However, I must admit, not having to fight a cord and move it around the ironing board is a win. The iron itself doesn't seem to produce steam easily compared to my current iron and I must admit I did miss the amount of steam I am used to on thicker items such as jeans. However, I did try the iron as a hand held steamer on a thin cotton dress whilst it was hanging up and it worked wonders. There are some real pros and cons to this iron and it genuinely depends on your needs/preferences when using an iron but if light weight and cordless are a must...this is the iron for you.

I feel that the iron plate had no cover over it, there was no plastic cover for the three pin plug. These are usually on new goods. Also there was drops of water in the tank. Please could you let me know as if this is the case I do not want it.

Needs to hold power for longer before returning to the base unit to charge. You spend too much time waiting for the iron to charge up again.

The only reason I have rated it 4 stars, is because when in steam mode, I expected it to steam, not to have to press the trigger beneath the handle to release the steam!
